Turning circular
thinking into action

Pippa is the Founder & Director of philo & co, a circular economy consultancy dedicated to upskilling design agencies and brands so they can turn circular thinking into action.

Since establishing philo & co in 2019, she has become a driving force in advancing circular economy principles in the design and FMCG sector. With a BSc in Product Design, followed by a career with top-tier design agencies servicing globally recognised organisations like Pernod Ricard and Reckitt Benckiser, Pippa has leveraged her skills and extensive circularity knowledge to develop philo & co's distinctive approach.

The consultancy's focus extends beyond circular design to deliver holistic strategies that not only improve resource use and reduce waste but also incorporate broader sustainability aspects.

Pippa excels in translating complex sustainability challenges into practical, impactful strategies across packaging design, brand strategy and communication.

Under Pippa's leadership, philo & co has significantly influenced the design industry, enabling designers, agencies and brands to adopt sustainable practices that resonate with their values and operational goals.

What is ESG?

ESG are a wide range of environmental, social and governance aspects that determine overall sustainability performance beyond circularity- such as carbon emissions, diversity and inclusion and leadership.

The circular economy is a specific approach that focuses on resource management, waste reduction and circular design principles to create a more sustainable and regenerative economy.

It is therefore critical for businesses to have a broader framework to address and measure environmental, social and governance issues while working to embrace the circular economy.

Why circularity?

With just 7.2% of our natural resources being reused, our existing take-make-waste economic model is unsustainable for the future. It’s time for a radical shift. In embracing a circular economy and fundamentally shifting our approach to design and consumption we not only address pressing environmental and social challenges of our time but work to thrive in a rapidly evolving sustainability landscape and contribute to building a more inclusive and sustainable world.

How circularity can better shape the future of your business:

  • Position your brand as a leader in sustainability and circular design

  • Reduce your risks associated with evolving regulations

  • Discover cost-saving opportunities through more efficient resource use and innovative design practices

  • Maintain your relevance in a world where sustainability is no longer a nice-to-have but a necessity

The circular economy is not a trend, it is a fundamental shift in the way we think, and operate businesses, and those that invest now will thrive in the long run.
